“Profoundly moving” (Review by Terry Fitzpatrick)

It has been noted that a Chamber Soloists of Detroit concert experience embodies the essence of chamber music. Key to the power of CSD’s presentations are its thoughtfully crafted programs for varying combinations of instruments, performed by musicians of international repute who are united in their mutual desire to establish a truly intimate connection with the audience.

Celebrating an auspicious debut season in the fall of 2012, Chamber Soloists of Detroit was poised to establish itself as a major cultural presence in metropolitan Detroit and beyond. Just as legendary pianist Menahem Pressler and Artistic Director Pauline Martin had each teamed up with Detroit colleagues to bid farewell to the previously named Pro Mozart Society of Detroit, an eager Detroit audience would soon gather to usher in an exciting new era in concert presentation.

Now adding domestic and international touring commitments to its annual subscription series of concerts, CSD is truly fulfilling its mission to serve as artistic ambassador on a global scale for the culturally rich city of Detroit, once known as the “Paris of the West.”

Chamber Soloists of Detroit is supported by a devoted fan base and an artistic advisory board of such luminaries as former Detroit Symphony Music Director Gunther Herbig and pianists Menahem Pressler and André Watts. CSD remembers, with gratitude, founding artistic advisor Jutta Czapski, whose artistry and friendship will continue to provide inspiration.
