Artist Bio:

Ann O. Hilton is an artist based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she lives on the Old West Side with her husband and two daughters. She gathers inspiration from farms, dunes, woods, and Lake Michigan in Leelanau County where she grew up, and the industrial-agricultural landscape of Southeast Michigan. She paints primarily in oils and watercolors on a variety of surface materials. Her woodblocks utilize the grain and other individual characteristics to illustrate land, water, and sky. She also experiments with sculpture made from woodcarvings, fabric, and found materials.
