Cerus Quartet – Saxophone in Motion

Motion reveals itself in countless forms; in the joy of dancing, the living energy of music, or the quickening of a heartbeat in love. This program traces motion through the saxophone in all its dimensions: the vibrant energy of extroversion, the ache and thrill of human connection, and the mystery that hovers between stillness and transformation. From the lyrical romanticism of Glazunov and Webern to the fiery pulse of Piazzolla and Iturralde, each piece offers a unique perspective on how music captures movement — not just of bodies, but of hearts, minds, and time itself.
