Christmas Memories: With Truman Capote and Roch Carrier – Holiday monologues and music featuring actor Will Myers with Curt Waugh (piano/vocals)

Actor Will Myers performs as the authors of two of the most beloved tales in the holiday canon: A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote and The Hockey Sweater by Roch Carrier.

Published a year before Breakfast at Tiffany’s would catapult him to stardom, A Christmas Memory is Truman Capote’s heartwarming and poignant love letter to his cousin Sook, their holiday traditions and fruitcake. 

The Hockey Sweater is so adored in Canada that its first lines were printed on the five dollar bill. In it, Roch Carrier recalls the Quebec winters of his youth and the dream of one day owning a Montreal Canadiens sweater just like his idol.

Curt Waugh rounds out the evening with a selection of classic holiday songs to make the holiday merry and bright.
