Joel Schoenhals, concert pianist – Schubert Project Concert #3

Back by popular demand, pianist Joel Schoenhals returns to Kerrytown Concert House with the third installment of The Schubert Project, an ongoing exploration of the extraordinary piano music of Franz Schubert.

This program features Schubert’s Sonata in G Major, D. 894, often regarded as one of the composer’s most poetic and introspective masterpieces.  The evening continues with the Four Impromptus, Op. 142 (D. 935), among Schubert’s most beloved works for piano. Together, these richly contrasting pieces display the composer’s gift for unforgettable melody, dramatic intensity, and intimate expression.

Known for performances that combine warmth, artistry, and expressive insight, Schoenhals invites audiences to experience an evening devoted to one of music’s greatest composers in a salon setting that celebrates the intimacy and beauty of live performance.
