Jacob Warren, bassist & John Solari, pianist Chamber Music Among Giants – Double Bass & Piano
Bassist Jacob Warren, winner of the 2023 International Society of Bassists Solo Competition and professor of double bass at Bowling Green State University, joins pianist Dr. John Solari for an evening of chamber music. The program draws on works written for bass and piano alongside pieces adapted from the violin, cello, and viola repertoire, showcasing surprising range and color. Known for his innovative, boundary-pushing approach to the double bass, Warren creates sound worlds rarely associated with the instrument, and this performance is a true reflection of that artistry. Warren and Solari, longtime collaborators, bring a rare chemistry and communicative energy to the stage as accomplished chamber musicians in their own right. The result is a program unlike a typical recital, an evening celebrating the uncommon and richly rewarding combination of bass and piano.
