The Siciliano Salon Series at Kerrytown Concert House Kerrytown Concert House is delighted to offer this final presentation of a series of chamber music concerts this season curated by concert and collaborative pianist Julia Siciliano! In this solo piano recital, Siciliano offers a unique response to the traditional classical concert format with this partially narrated program. She will recite imagined conversations between Beethoven and Schubert, who unfortunately never met in real life, paired with musical selections they would have chosen to share with each other. A featured musical highlight of this program is Schubert's final piano sonata in B-flat Major, D.960.

Since its inception in 2014, Klezmephonic has become one of the busiest and the most sought-after Klezmer bands in Michigan. Being deeply embedded in the tragic and glorious history of Jewish life, Klezmer music can only be fully understood and appreciated in the context of that life, and its historical, social, and spiritual aspects. Amidst frolicking freilahks and sirbas, wailing clarinet and sobbing violin Klezmephonic will tell a story of strength, tenacity, and limitless beauty of the poetic narrative of simple Jewish life.

Join us for a gallery reception to celebrate the work of multimedia artist, Esther Kirshenbaum.This artist reception is free and open to the public. Artist statement: The eclectic and transporting performances at the Kerrytown Concert House inspired this show, which features work spanning time and place, encompassing multimedia conversations with New York City and Buenos Aires, as well as the diverse ecosystems surrounding Ann Arbor. The rich variety of music in this space moved me to seek evocative contrasts in the work displayed here, art that is bright and subtle, frenetic and quiet, and includes encaustic, metalwork, collage, and monotypes.
