For this month's trio, Ellen is joined by bassist, Rob Bickley, and drummer, Sean Dobbins. Together, the ensemble will play selections from Peterson's beloved Canadiana Suite, a celebration of his Canadian homeland. Pieces will include "Wheatland", "Blues of the Prairie", "Laurentide Waltz" and "March Past".

Michael Malis – Searching For the Center: Solo Piano Explorations

He’ll present original compositions, which range from the spacious and lush to the unpredictable and raucous. Still, he stays conversant with his musical ancestors, drawing on repertoire from composers such as Sun Ra, Thelonious Monk, Alice Coltrane, and others, to create a rich and diverse program that looks forward, backward, and center.
