Sponsorship at Kerrytown Concert House
Each year, our Sponsors (individuals, families, and music lovers like you) provide critical leadership support that sustains our programming and makes our season possible. Their gifts directly underwrite the 80+ concerts that bring 400+ artists to our stage and draw 6,500+ patrons through our doors. For an organization of our size, sponsorship is not simply supplemental support, it is one of the most significant investments in our artistic work, with an immediate and visible impact on the artists we present, the audiences we serve, and the outreach that fills our seats.
The Impact of Sponsorship
We wish ticket sales alone could be enough to sustain our programming, but they are not. On average, it takes $2,000 to produce a performance. This includes artist fees, staffing costs, equipment expenses, marketing and printing costs, music licensing fees, piano tuning, etc. Here at Kerrytown Concert House we are committed to paying artists a fair wage. Sponsorships reduce risk for KCH, enabling us to pay artists an agreed-upon rate regardless of their ticket sales. Sponsorships thus offset financial risk that KCH assumes when presenting concerts, assuring that it can remain an essential home for established and emerging world-class artists, live music lovers, and the community at large.
