Zekkereya El-magharbel is an interdisciplinary artist currently living in Detroit. El-magharbel has been a member of the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra in Los Angeles for almost 10 years and has worked/studied with artists such as Angel Bat Dawid, Tyshawn Sorey, Corey Smythe, Jaimie Branch, Steve Lehman, and George Lewis, to name a few, but has also worked professionally as an animator and has screened films internationally.
