Ann Arbor Festival of Song presents Pre-Art Fair Song Fest 2026 Red, White, and “Blue” — A “Patriotic” Cabaret with special guest Detroit legend Alvin Waddles

Just as Ann Arbor’s famous Art Fair spans a gloriously large variety of visual art genres, the Ann Arbor Festival of Song (now in its 32nd year!) spans an equally large variety of musical genres. Favorite area singers from Michigan and Ohio take the stage Friday evening for a program of cabaret and musical theatre hits that celebrates the American experience with honesty, humor, and heart, at once a jubilee and a blues, a salute and a sigh. Joining the Festival performers as special guest is the incomparable Alvin Waddles, Detroit-born pianist and vocalist, whose mastery across jazz, gospel, and classical styles makes him the perfect guest for an evening this delightfully hard to categorize.
