Kerrytown Concert House is thrilled to present the debut of this synergistic duo collaboration over ten years in the making! The musical tapestry of Pinheiro/Jasperse blends Bossa nova, Jazz, and the Great American Songbook - all woven throughout with new music written by the artists. Described by Downbeat Magazine as “...a prodigy of guitar,” Chico Pinheiro has been nominated three times for the American Grammy Awards (in 2019, 2020 & 2021). World-renowned composer, arranger, vocalist and pianist, Greg Jasperse, is a member of Vertical Voices and frequent sub in the New York Voices, has spent the last decade as the Director of Vocal Jazz and Gold Company at Western Michigan University’s Irving S. Gilmore School of Music, and has performed with the Bob Mintzer Big Band, Chris Potter, Adele, Bobby McFerrin, Rosemary Clooney and Dianne Reeves, to name a few.

Dave Sharp Worlds Quartet returns to Kerrytown Concert House bringing a new collaboration with special guest, guitarist Elden Kelly. Recognized in the Jazz Times 2010 Critics Poll, the quartet masterfully blends rhythms, sounds, and textures from across the globe with world music inspired original compositions.

Described as a “mystical-neo-classic jam,” this performance marks BLUE's Ann Arbor debut and celebrates their upcoming CD release.

Alla Boara returns to KCH to celebrate Italy's rich folk music tradition through modern interpretations! Built around the incredibly dynamic voice of Amanda Powell (Apollo's Fire) and the eclectic arrangements of Italian folk music by drummer Anthony Taddeo, Alla Boara's sounds are "...Spirited, romantic, and ultimately refreshing." Come be a part of this journey through Italy's regional sounds mixed with global music and jazz.

The Oblivion Project is dedicated to the exploration and performance of the over 3000 Nuevo Tango works of Argentine tango master Astor Piazzolla. Through this project, celebrated musicians from all across the Americas have collaborated over the past two decades to explore and share the uncompromisingly unique, unequivocally attractive language of Piazzolla’s tangos.

Sprig of That is a tabla, fiddle, and guitar trio drawing inspiration from the work of cross-genre pioneers like Zakir Hussain, Chris Thile, and Béla Fleck to play music that is both steeped in tradition(s) and thoroughly modern. Though this combination of instruments might seem unexpected at first glance, Sprig has left an immediate and lasting impression on all who have heard and seen them.

Critically-acclaimed guitarist and arranger from the national scene, Randy Napoleon (also an Ann Arbor native) returns to the House bringing two award-winning, Downbeat-recognized jazz singers of today as different in style as the places they call home. West Coast singer, Melissa Morgan, is influenced by tradition (Nancy Wilson & Dinah Washington) but “isn’t copying anybody” (London Evening Standard). East Coast singer Aubrey Johnson’s "bright crystalline vocal tone" and "creative versatility" (JazzTimes) have earned her recognition as both a singer and arranger. To bridge the gap between coasts, Napoleon has assembled a Midwest trio comprised of fellow nationally sought-after players: Rodney Whitaker on bass and David Alvarez III on drums.

An evening of unexpected and inventive music with harpist/composer Maurice Draughn and pianist Tyler Driskill featuring the flavored stylings of jazz, broadway and gospel. Don't miss this original Sunday night presentation in the House - a beautiful finish to your weekend.
